Owner/Forester
Kent Hope
Originally from Richardson, Texas, Kent has purchased and managed timber since graduating with a Forestry degree from Stephen F. Austin in 1988. After a layoff, and being with two other companies previously, Kent & his wife, Lynn, decided to start their own company in 2000. The decision to become self employed proved to be the right fit raising two young boys. Managing their own time and working around the boys schedule was demanding, yet rewarding. Their goal with Hope Timberland, LLC is to broaden our client base with the aid of new technology while remaining a key player within the East Texas community.
Kent is an avid hunter and fisherman, teaching his two sons the art of woodsman-ship. The passion and drive Kent has for his work and the outdoors is remarkable. The concept of 'leaving a place better than you found it' comes naturally to Kent and he has instilled that into both his personal and work life.
